The case you half-remember,
found.
Ask in plain English. Read the judgment. Cite it in AGLC4. Sharp tells you what it doesn't know.
Every claim traces to a real paragraph in a real judgment. Trained on judgments, not on the internet. No invented cases.
Mabo and Others v Queensland (No 2) HCA[1992] HCA 23 is a native title decision of the High Court of Australia. The Court, by a majority of 6:1 with Dawson J dissenting, held that the common law of Australia recognises a form of native title reflecting the entitlement of indigenous inhabitants to their traditional lands.
The decision triggered the enactment of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).
